Established in 2010, Balado Farm is working with nature to manage 100 hectares of grasslands, woodlands and arable crops. Our fields are sown with a diverse mix of grasses, clovers and herbs, which we use to rear Beef Shorthorn and Luing cattle, together with North Country Cheviot cross fat lambs. Our arable crops are grown to provide a self sufficient food source for the winter.
At the farm we are working hard to grow a sustainable farming business, making use of the natural resources around us. We believe that the livestock makes the farm, with every day dedicated to managing their needs.
We aim is to produce quality beef and lamb with full traceability from the heart of Scotland, which we hope you will love and enjoy.
One hundred percent reared on delicious pasture, our lamb is professionally butchered and vacuum packed at our local abattoir, which complies with all current health and hygiene regulations.
Our Scotch Lamb Box allows you to buy fresh lamb meat, directly from the farm, or despatched in insulated containers for cool delivery overnight. What you can't eat now, just put in the freezer!
